Privacy Policy
Formula Metric is a dashboard widget for monday.com that calculates a number from the boards you connect to it. We built it to do its job without collecting your data.
What the app accesses
- Board data (
boards:read): the app reads items and the specific numeric column you choose, only for the boards you connect to the widget, and only to compute the number shown. - Widget configuration: your settings (board, column, aggregation, format, thresholds) are stored via monday.com's built-in Storage API, scoped to the widget instance in your account.
AI assistant (optional)
The app includes an optional "describe your metric" assistant. Only when you type a request and press Generate does the app send your text plus the names of your boards and numeric columns (not their row values) to monday.com's own hosted AI (the monday AI gateway, run_prompt). It returns a suggested configuration, which is checked against your real boards before anything is applied. Nothing is sent to any AI provider outside monday.com, and we do not store your prompts. The assistant is optional, and you can always configure the widget by hand.
What we do NOT do
- We do not send your board data to any external server. Calculations run in your browser, using monday.com's own API.
- We do not sell, share, or store your board data outside monday.com.
- We do not use analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising.
Data location & retention
Formula Metric has no backend and no database of its own, so it retains no end-user data outside monday.com. The only thing it stores is your widget configuration (board, column, aggregation, format, thresholds), held in monday.com's built-in Storage API and scoped to the widget instance. When you uninstall the app, monday deletes that configuration, so no data is retained beyond uninstall. Because we keep nothing on our side, there is no separate copy for us to delete.
Billing
Payments are processed by monday.com's native billing. We never see or store your payment details.
Your rights
Because the app stores no personal data of its own, requests to access or delete data are handled through your monday.com account controls. For any question, contact [email protected].
